Sticks & Bones has been part of my story since my twenties — an idea born in Seattle that stayed with me through a fulfilling career in marketing and operations across technology and education. Over the years, I felt the pull toward something more tangible, built for a community I know.

I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit — a coffee shop in Telluride, years as an independent consultant, and most recently as co-founder of an AI company. I also spent eight years co-leading Minnetonka’s Vantage program — work that kept me deeply connected to this community and still does. Through all of it, dogs have been my constant.

I've lived with them my entire life, raising and personally training five of my own over the years using positive reinforcement methods. I believe clear, kindness-based communication is the foundation of a happy pack. My rescue Benny is my daily reminder of the trust this work requires. I know exactly how it feels to hand over the leash to someone new.
